Meet our new Miss Nebraska Co-Executive Director, Megan Doughty

Hello everyone!!! I wanted to introduce myself as your new Co-Director for Miss Nebraska!!! My name is Megan Doughty and I will be working alongside Peggy as we journey towards the state competition and crown a lovely new Miss in June.
A little bit about me…
My experience with Miss Nebraska began by attending every state competition with my mother and grandmother. I was then a little sister for Jenny Lemmerman. As an adult I began volunteering for the Miss State Fair program as a runner and judges chair. When I moved back to North Platte in 2014, I was quickly asked to be on the board as the scholarship chair, I gained many other positions and  was officially added to Co-Executive Director in 2018. I served in that position until June of 2020.
My full time career is that of a pharmacist. I have worked for U-Save Pharmacy since 2011 and currently serve largely in medication management. I have trained in medication therapy management, diabetes therapy, and immunizations. I have spent time on the North Platte Chamber hostesses and currently serve on the North Platte Swim Club board as Vice President and McDonald PTO as Vice President and Secretary.
I am also wife to my amazing husband, Marcus, and am a mother to our four children. My small amount of free time is spent traveling to soccer tournaments for my son, shopping with my girls, or going on coffee dates with my youngest son. My own personal interests are running and reading.
Fun Fact: I love to plan events and create schedules, and my favorite day of the year is the day I get a new planner
